Abstract |
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) including GPS is a key technology for location-based services. However, accurate positioning in indoor environments such as within ships is challenging due to signal attenuation. This study proposes a positioning algorithm that combines IMU-based Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR) and fingerprinting techniques for emergency rescue operations inside ships. The proposed system could enable reliable positioning in GNSS-denied environments and mitigate cumulative error of PDR with fingerprinting. This study provides a practical solution for robust positioning in emergency scenarios within ships. |
